Water pumps are used to move water from one point to another, and can be submersible or external. In order to ensure that water is available at sufficient pressure at all times, small pressure tanks are utilized, usually mounted adjacent to the pump, so that the pump (which senses changes in the pressure of the system caused by the flow of water) does not have to turn itself on and off every time someone opens a tap.
The DOMINATOR 4” submersible pumps are suitable for installation in traditional wells, water deposits, collection tanks, clear watercourses, lakes etc. Supplied with 20m nylon suspension cord.

Question:
What size or horse power of pump do I need?
Answer:
In general, higher horsepower pumps put out more water (the GPM flow rate is higher). A ½ HP pump can provide water to a small house with one bathroom but if you have a 2nd bathroom that might be used at the same time as the first, or if your household might run the laundry at the same time as the shower, then going with a higher horsepower is going to provide the extra water your household will need. In cases of a house with multiple bathrooms, multiple people, and the possibility of a sprinkler system and laundry running concurrently, then you probably need to go with one of the 1 HP models.
